About Studio SloFox

Dancing has been part of our lives forever. We love to dance, most of all we love to teach.

Our dancing experience began in our youth, where ballroom dance lessons were part of our school curriculum. Our teen years brought us the very best entertainment, as we danced our way through many pairs of shoes, in the beautiful ballrooms in England.

After settling into our new home in Canada, we began taking our dancing more seriously. For 10 years we experienced the fun and challenge of competition. We have danced our way through community fundraisers, wedding parties, birthday parties, and even had the honour of performing in the House of Parliament, Ottawa, Canada.

We opened our own dance school in 1990. During this time Derek studied and gained accreditation through Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD) England. Today, we are still enjoying this great sport.

Our love of dancing takes us all over the world. On cruise ships and at home, during our 22 years as professional teachers, we have introduced hundreds of students to the joy of dancing.
